Great concept for a bouldering bag

I use this bag for outdoor bouldering. The double zipper for the main pocket is awesome - by far my favorite solution in any bag I've tried so far. It's easy to pack up quickly by piling everything in the open bag, zipping it up a bit by tugging on the main zipper handle, then shaking everything to the bottom, zipping up a bit more, etc. until closed.

The bag is also very light, and seems to be well made for the most part. However, after about a year and a half of use, the plastic clip holding one of the straps together snapped off on me. I had to tie the end of the strap to itself to be able to use the bag again (see picture). This happened about 2 months ago, and that knot is actually holding up fine; not a huge deal since I rarely adjust the strap length anyway.

I'd suggest two small things for potential design improvements. The main one is that I feel the zipper for the small front pocket should be in the reverse orientation. It is currently designed to open from bottom to top, which is awkward for taking things out, especially when wearing the pack on the front while carrying pads. Due to this design, I have had small items such as lip balm fall out of this pocket (and disappear into the talus) when getting my phone out during approaches. Having it open from top to bottom would make more sense to me and prevent that kind of thing from happening. The other suggestion is that I could use just one or two more liters of space in the main compartment. I normally carry a pair of shoes, a chalk bucket, a flexible 3L water bag that I usually fill about half way, snacks for the day, and some small odds and ends like lip balm, tape, and things like that. That all pretty much fills the bag completely - I could maybe squeeze in another singular shoe, but I can't bring anything else unless I shove some things in my pads, which is what I end up doing most of the time. Still works out fine, but would be nice to have a slightly larger capacity option as well.

Overall I'm happy with this bag and will continue to use it moving forward. I'd love to see an improved version someday that addresses some of these minor issues I've found after using it for a while.

Great bag

Great little bag. Fits a Nalgene, chalk bucket and other little trinkets. Having two small zippered pockets is also nice for small items. Really like the way it opens. Overall seems well made.

Great little pack

I love how quickly you can tear it open and close it back up.
