NOTE that not all bolt-on holds can be converted to screw-on holds
Setting perfect movement is no longer limited by T-nut placement. The Lonestar™ used in conjunction with the countersink bit, and some structural screws will allow you to set various holds, anywhere, quickly and easily.
Keep in mind it is NEVER adequate to use only one screw and a lonestar to attach a handhold. Any screw-on handhold will need a minimum of 3 screw attachment points. Furthermore not all holds can be safely converted to screw-on holds and some holds will need more than 3 attachment points to safely install.
Many Escape climbing holds can be safely modified if done properly, and some are designed to accommodate additional set-screw holes. However, this should ONLY be done by professional routesetters that understand how to safely convert bolt-on holds into screw-on holds. Improper alterations can also be very dangerous, causing a hold to crack and/or break.
Modifying climbing holds or adding additional set-screw holes may void your manufacture warranty (Escape's or otherwise). Follow manufacturers recommendations whenever adding set-screw holes.

The Escape Industrial T-nut is the strongest and widest used T-nut on the market for climbing. It passes the EN 12572-1:2017 test in 18MM baltic birch plywood. The assembly is loaded using the test protocol up to 12 kN.
Designed and sourced specifically for climbing walls, there’s nothing else on the market quite like the Escape Industrial T-nut. With a barrel longer than your standard T-nuts, the Industrial T-nut is designed for ¾” plywood or thicker.
Perfect for commercial applications. Also, because of its unique self-guided barrel, stripped T-nuts are a thing of the past. Well, not entirely, (new setters will always find a way), but now they’ll really have to go out of their way to make it happen.
The Industrial T-nuts huge winged-flange installs via 2 set screws which guarantee maximum strength and stability. To install this bad boy, use a ½” drill to make your T-nut holes.

304 is the most common stainless steel (also known as A2 or 18-8). 316 is used for more severe corrosion conditions in pool areas and marine environments. 316 handles chlorides or general corrosion in acidic applications much better than 304 stainless steel.
It is a common misconception that stainless steel bolts or T-nuts are stronger than steel hardware. Stainless steel is in fact significantly weaker than hardened steel fasteners like our alloy bolts or zinc plated T-nuts. Zinc is an electroplated finish that gives T-nuts corrosion resistance while yet maintaining the strength of hardened steel. Stainless Steel T-nuts are not for every application. It is a softer metal and as a result more prone to stripping and cross-threading. However, if you need more corrosion resistance than a zinc plating can offer then look to stainless steel.

This is a #9 countersink bit made for drilling out set-screw holes. Set screws are an essential part of preventing spinners and keeping routes safe for climbers.
This bit can also be used in conjunction with The Lonestar™ to convert certain bolt-on holds into screw-on holds. Remember not all holds can be safely converted to screw-on holds and some holds will need more than 3 attachment points to safely install. Many Escape climbing holds can be safely modified if done properly, and some are designed to accommodate additional set-screw holes. However, this should ONLY be done by professional routsetters that understand how to safely convert bolt-on holds into screw-on holds. Improper alterations can also be dangerous, causing a hold to crack and/or break.
Modifying climbing holds or adding additional set-screw holes may void your manufacture warranty (Escape's or otherwise). Follow manufacturers recommendations whenever adding set-screw holes.

Speed climbing is a major part of climbing competitions and high-quality speed holds are an essential ingredient. We take the production of speed climbing holds seriously to make sure every hold is consistent and produced with minimum variability. High-quality speed holds are essential for training and competition climbing since milliseconds are on the line.
A Full 15.5 meter Speed Wall need 20 hand holds / 11 foot holds-
Full 10.5 meter Speed Wall need 12 hand holds / 8 foot holds.
We are not a IFSC certified speed holds manufacturer. Certified holds are one aspect needed for official world record attempts. There are currently less than a dozen certified walls in the entire world for IFSC world record attempts. Speed holds do not need to be certified unless your wall and timing systems are IFSC certified as well. The IFSC intentionally permits the manufacturing of unofficial holds for the purpose of growing speed climbing participation.
