The RockRider Hoodie is designed specifically for climbing on rock. From clipping bolts on a “sending temps” kind of day to placing cams high in the alpine, the RockRider keeps you comfortable and ready to move.
During the design phase, we focused on a few core elements that we wanted in a climbing jacket. First off, the grid fleece fabric is one of our favorite materials, offering a great combination of comfort, warmth, and breathability. It’s our go-to layer whenever we head to the crag.
We also wanted a jacket tailored specifically for climbing movement. Too many times we’d reach up for a hold only to get a cold breeze on our lower back or wrists. That’s why the RockRider was designed with sleeves that move with you, so you can reach high without restriction or exposure.
The final feature we knew we needed was a hood that fits comfortably under a helmet. You know those windy moments at a hanging belay or on rappel- when a well-fitting hood becomes your last line of defense against the cold. That’s why every version of the RockRider Hoodie includes a stretch, under-helmet hood to keep you warm when it counts most.
