The RockRider Hoodie is designed specifically for climbing on rock. From clipping bolts on a “sending temps” kind of day to placing cams high in the alpine, the RockRider keeps you comfortable and ready to move.

During the design phase, we focused on a few core elements that we wanted in a climbing jacket. First off, the grid fleece fabric is one of our favorite materials, offering a great combination of comfort, warmth, and breathability. It’s our go-to layer whenever we head to the crag.

We also wanted a jacket tailored specifically for climbing movement. Too many times we’d reach up for a hold only to get a cold breeze on our lower back or wrists. That’s why the RockRider was designed with sleeves that move with you, so you can reach high without restriction or exposure.

The final feature we knew we needed was a hood that fits comfortably under a helmet. You know those windy moments at a hanging belay or on rappel- when a well-fitting hood becomes your last line of defense against the cold. That’s why every version of the RockRider Hoodie includes a stretch, under-helmet hood to keep you warm when it counts most.

Basically the perfect second layer

This is becoming my go-to standard hoody for days at the crag. Fit is great, and it's long enough to stay under a harness. It's warm without being too warm. It's basically the perfect second layer.

Loving this hoodie

I just got my new RockRider Hoodie and am loving it. It's warm but light weight and doesn't feel bulky or constricting. Very easy to move and climb in and I really like having a hood for colder days. All in all a great multi purpose layer.

Aesthetic and functional

This hoodie is easily my new favorite hoodie not just for climbing but also for wearing when off the wall. I love the pockets for keeping my hands warm between attempts on my projects and all the openings have elastic to prevent those cold breezes from sneaking up my sleeves or down my neck.

The RockRider rocks!

The RockRider is fantastic for several reasons. It feels thick, but not bulky. Is long in the torso. Has thumb loops. Is a nice hoodie to wear out to dinner, and functional enough to wear while climbing. I like the access of the chest zippered pocket. This is a solid entry into climbing apparel for Escape.
