Customers praised this crash pad's "great size" and quality foam for home walls and outdoor bouldering. The extra pad covers hazards well and deployment is easy. However, some found the carrying system subpar with straps that swing and lack adjustability. The slippery outer material and webbing were noted concerns.

Perfect for my home wall, backpack straps

Perfect for my home wall, backpack straps are removable and if you rotate them you can use the closure straps to secure them next to each other

Perfect to use between my home wall and outdoors. It is a great size and the extra pad is a nice addition to cover any extra hazards. I like how easy it is to deploy and it lays flat on the shoulder straps. Carrying feels good with the load lifters, and wrapping the hip belt around the shoulder straps makes it feel more stable. I am worried about the straps breaking from contact with the ground, but havent had any issues yet.

Overall, I think the quality of the foam and exterior fabric is good. I do find the quality of the carrying system to be subpar. In comparison to some other pads, I’ve used the low attachment points of the straps allow the pad to swing and bang around a little more than I would like. The lack of ability to adjust the attachment points of the straps is also a negative, making it less adjustable to different body, sizes and different packing schemes. I also find the lack of a chest strap to be annoying for a long haul.

Great bang for buck

The pad is fully functional as a large, thick pad for all heights of boulders that carries well. The foam is trust worthy, the spanner pocket is a great addition and the general construction is quality. My only two critiques would be that the outer material is pretty slippery, which is an issue when stacking pads on uneven terrain and that the webbing is so slick that when cinching it down it doesn't hold its place. That being said, I think both of these issues will resolve with further use and I'm still pleased with the purchase.
